Referencing & Moving-in Process

Before you can move into a property you will need to :

  1. Pay 1 week’s Holding Deposit in cash, sign the pre-tenancy Guide Notes For Tenants and set the move-in date.
  1. Complete Reference Forms and provide us with: Proof of ‘Right To Rent’ (i.e. passport and Biometric Residence Permit if necessary); proof of your current address (like a utility bill); proof of employment (letter from employer or 3 month”s wage slips); 3 month’s bank statements; creidt history. All of these items must be delivered to us before the move-in date.
  1. Pass the Reference Checks. These are undertaken by HomeLet (our referencing company) and you will usually know the result of the checks within 1-2 days of submitting them.
  1. Confirm Move-In Date. If the reference checks are satisfactory, we will call you to confirm the move-in date – when you would come to our office to pay the balance of rent and deposit.
  1. Tenancy Agreement & Keys Collection. You will: be given your tenancy agreement; pay the remaining rent and deposit; meet a Househunter representative at the property to record utility meter reading; complete an inventory of the property (if required); collect keys for the property.
